BWXT's Nuclear Operations Group, Inc. (NOG) is looking for a Digital Transformation Project Manager in Barberton, Ohio! As a Digital Process Improvement Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying, designing, and implementing digital solutions to improve business processes.
You will work closely with various departments, and between the NOG sites, to understand their process challenges and develop innovative strategies to optimize workflows, reduce costs, and enhance overall operational efficiency. You will also work with peers at other NOG facilities to create processes and practices that are consistent across the organization. The transformation roadmap includes initiatives to transform NOG's production planning and scheduling, create a paperless manufacturing facility, optimize digital data collection, and upgrade the existing Enterprise Resource Planning software.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities: 1. Process Analysis & Optimization: Conducts thorough analysis of existing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement. Develops and implements strategies to streamline workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and optimize resource utilization. 2.
Project Management: Leads and manages process improvement projects from conception to implementation. Ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget by increasing employee adoption and usage. 3. Stakeholder Engagement and Change Management: Collaborates with department heads, IT teams, and external vendors to align process improvement initiatives with business objectives.
Collaborates with identified Change Management sponsors and Chang Champions to help create and implement change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage while minimizing resistance. Communicates effectively with stakeholders at all levels to ensure buy-in and successful adoption of new processes. Coordinates with peers at other facilities to develop a common approach or method to new systems. 4.
Technology Integration: Evaluates and implements new technologies and digital tools to enhance process efficiency. Stays abreast of the latest digital trends and innovations applicable to process improvement. 5. Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilizes data analytics to measure process performance and identify improvement opportunities.
Prepares and presents regular reports on process improvement projects and their impact on business performance. Defines and measures success metrics and monitors change progress. 6. Training & Support: Works with site training departments to develop training materials and coordinate sessions to educate staff on new processes and digital tools.
Provides ongoing support and guidance to ensure sustainable process improvements. Evaluates and ensures user readiness. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 6 years of relevant experience OR at least 10 years' experience in engineering, data science, computer science, business analytics, or a related field.
This position is located in the Barberton, OH site. Must be willing to report to our designated site as scheduled. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate. Must be a U.S.
citizen with no dual citizenship. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) clearance. Additional Preferred Qualifications: At least 2 years of project management experience.
Proven experience in process improvement, project management, and digital transformation. Proficient in data analysis and process mapping tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies. A solid understanding of change management principles, methodologies and tools; experience with Prosci ADKAR® Model.
